July in Labin and Rabac
Charismatic Croatian vocal Massimo Savić brings a romantic music rhapsody to Rabac. At the elegant ambience of The Beat Beach Club by the sea the legendary singer returns to his birth place and takes us on a music journey through the hits of his 35-year-long career. Ever since his latest album Sada (Now) has been launched, the leading figure of the Croatian music scene has sold out concerts throughout Croatia and the region, and in Rabac starry night you can enjoy free of charge on Friday, 5 July from9 PM. One of his biggest hits is called Stranger in the Night, so do not be strangers in the night and join the new music season of Rabac Open Air Festival.
The Beat Beach Club, Rabac, 9 PM
Legendary Slovenian singer Zoran Predin accompanied by guitarist virtuoso Damir Kukuruzović and his gipsy swing band Django Group, bring a musical treat at the opening of the Labin Jazz Festival. With the covers of the great Croatian musician Arsen Dedić, Zoran Predin will perform his own hits with the inevitable humorous and charming monologues. Jasna Bilušić, a well-known jazz artist from Zagreb will perform on the second day of the festival, 11 July, and the festival closes on 12 July with Jazz va Labine performed by Matko Brajša Rašan Art School Labin Jazz Ensemble, with an after party at 11 PM.
A special oriental fairy tale of the Labin Art Republic is a concert by Amira Medunjanin, a celebrated sevdah artist. The unbelievable and enchanting voice of the “Bosnian Billie Holiday”, as the world's media have called her, will shine in Labin Old town on 25 July.

The documentary film festival Shpeena DOX'19 is a true summer refreshment for all documentaries’ fans. This year in its fifth edition the festival brings some of the best recent Croatian and international documentaries which you can enjoy under the starry sky in the heart of Labin Old town, at a location known as Kod špine (špina = tap), after which the festival takes its name.

Get to know the original folklore of Labin area and have fun with local songs and dances at the traditional amateur folklore event Labinski konti, which for more than half a century represents the folklore tradition of this area. The festival of songs, dances and traditional folk music of Labin area has been gathering local cultural-artistic societies and their guests for half a century. RKUD Rudar from Raša and KUD Ivan Fonović Zlatela from Kršan are the leaders of this festival which nurtures plays on traditional folk instruments: Istrian bagpipes, whistle pipes, double whistle, small whistle pipes, two-part singing dancing Labin tanac.

Every Friday during July enjoy the indigenous Istrian products at the traditional handicrafts and gastro products’ fair called Istrian Lifestyle. At the waterfront in Rabac have a taste and choose from Istrian extra virgin olive oil from the best olive region in the world, Labin area wines, meat delicacies: Istrian prosciutto, sausages, dried pork loin, local juices and jams and goat cheese. Relax with live music evergreens, lavish scents of lavender and immortelle products, and choose original handmade olive-tree souvenirs.

In July and August, enjoy the new edition of the Classical Summer in Labin in the beautiful ambience of the parish church in Labin Old town.
