Sea Gušti – A festival that awakens all the senses and smells like summer

“Oh, it’s nice to drink a glass of wine on the waterfront and relax on the deck chairs.”

Rabac is ready for the third edition of the popular Sea Gušti event – a festival of flavors, sea and music, which will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025. After two successful editions filled with the scents of the Mediterranean and the rhythms of good music, the Labin Tourist Board is once again bringing an event that celebrates the beauty of life by the sea – through top-notch food, a glass of wine, music and relaxed socializing. Visitors can expect a full-day program, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., that combines Mediterranean gastronomy, sea, music and local culture into a unique and memorable experience – for all generations.

The already well-known chefs Hrvoje Hrvatin and Antonio Brajković will take care of the top gastronomic pleasure, who will show in an educational culinary workshop in the afternoon how tradition and modern cuisine come together on the plate – with fish as the main star. Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enjoy a rich gastronomic offer, which, among other things, includes specialties from local caterers, prepared from freshly caught ingredients. And considering that the top-quality food is accompanied by equally high-quality drinks, everything will be rounded off with selected wines from the Trs association and craft beer from the local Labona brewery.

Sea Gušti also brings a great morning program for the youngest! Visual artist Nicol Načinović will awaken children’s imagination in her art workshop, while experts from the English language school Helen Doron English Labin will teach children about the sea, language and nature conservation through play through the creative-educational workshop “Marine Magic” – smart fun in a sea of ​​creativity . English will also be practiced through a fun educational game organized by the Mate Blažina Labin High School. In addition to learning and creative expression, the youngest can also have great fun with the educational puppet show “BLOP BLOP” , which talks about friendship and good deeds that we should do to each other from a young age.

In the morning, visitors can also enjoy a musical and dance performance that will further enhance the atmosphere: a performance by the Labin City Orchestra and Labin majorettes brings a dose of tradition and festivity, while the Dance by Faye dance group will delight with energetic choreography and playful movements.

A dynamic note is also given to the festival atmosphere by sports activities at sea, among which the Kayak Fun Race – a fun kayak race between the Riva and the Cable Car, a knot-making workshop, sailing regattas and sport fishing stand out. Young and old will be able to learn the basics of sailing through the presentation of the summer sailing school for children organized by the Kvarner Sailing Club, while the DPA Rabac Diving Association and the Kvarner Sea Sports Association will present the charms of the underwater world and diving.

Vanna’s concert for the end of a day full of Mediterranean experiences

The evening’s musical program will be led by Vanna, a diva of the Croatian music scene, whose performance brings strong emotion and top-notch performance. After her, the atmosphere will be further heated by DJ SWORD and DR.SAX – a combination of electronic rhythm, live saxophone and Mediterranean elegance will be the perfect backdrop for a relaxed gathering under the starry sky.

Sea Gušti is also known as a “plastic free” festival. The organizers believe that caring for the environment is just as important as good food and music – that’s why all the festival’s equipment will be biodegradable. The festival is further enhanced by its visual identity inspired by the Labinjo cakavica, a protected intangible cultural heritage. Sea Gušti is not just a festival of taste – it is also a celebration of togetherness, environmental responsibility and pride in local heritage.

In the end, the festival’s message remains simple and warm: “How nice it is to drink a glass of wine on the waterfront and relax on the cranes.” With these words, the Labin Tourist Board invites everyone to slow down, enjoy the Mediterranean beauties and give thanks for the little things that make life great.
