Sea Gušti – Festival of Flavors, Sea and Music
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Rabac becomes the true heart of Mediterranean enjoyment. The fourth edition of the festival Sea Gušti brings together exceptional food, relaxing music, sea activities and great fun – all from morning to evening, on the most beautiful waterfront in Istria.
Delights for All the Senses
Under the slogan “Aj lepo je popit dec belega na rive i opocinut na ždraje”, the Labin Tourist Board invites all generations to slow down and enjoy life. Sea Gušti celebrates what the sea offers us – from fresh fish on the plate, to a glass of wine, to music that lifts the spirit.
Gastronomic Delight
Renowned culinary name Hrvoje Hrvatin will lead a morning culinary-educational workshop for children, where he will show how tradition and modern cuisine can work perfectly together and how fish can be prepared in a creative and interesting way, with young participants having the opportunity to take part in preparing the dishes themselves. Throughout the day, visitors can expect a rich selection of local specialties prepared from fresh, locally caught ingredients. There are also premium wines from the Trs association and craft beers from the Kampanjola brewery, Sakramenske eco beer made from barley from their own cultivation, perfect for pairing with seafood delicacies. The festival will also feature Destilerija Krulčić, known for producing premium craft spirits inspired by Istrian tradition. Their selection includes various brandies and liqueurs made from carefully selected local ingredients.
Rabac Fish Stew Competition by Sea Gušti
The Rabac Fish Stew Competition by Sea Gušti is a new addition to the festival and brings a culinary-entertainment program of international character. In this unique competition, local teams will compete alongside dear guests from Trbovlje and Manzano, in an atmosphere of good food, socializing and sea flavors. At the end of the event, an expert jury will judge the prepared fish stews and declare the best team of the competition.
Children’s Program Full of Creativity and Play
The youngest will also have their share of fun – with an art workshop by artist Nicol Načinović and the educational workshop “Marine Magic” organized by Helen Doron English Labin school. Additional learning through play is provided by Mate Blažina High School Labin, while the puppet show “BLOP BLOP” tells a story about friendship and good deeds in a child-friendly and entertaining way. The Red Cross Labin will also have a children’s corner.
Music, Dance and Sports – All in One Place
The morning part of the festival will be enriched by performances of the Labin City Orchestra, as well as an energetic dance performance by the Dance by Faye group. The sea will be the stage for sporting challenges: the “Kayak Fun Race”, knot-tying workshops and diving and fishing presentations. Children will be able to learn the basics of sailing through the summer sailing school program organized by JK Kvarner.
Dino Dvornik Tribute Band and DJ Evening to End the Day
The highlight of the evening will be a concert by the Dino Dvornik Tribute Band at Sea Gušti, which will get the Rabac waterfront dancing and singing along to the timeless hits of the king of funk, filled with energy, rhythm and a dose of nostalgia. After them, DJ Keđo raises the atmosphere with modern rhythms – the perfect backdrop for relaxed socializing under the starry sky.
A Festival with a Message
Sea Gušti is not just another festival – it’s a manifestation with heart. All utensils are biodegradable because preserving the environment is just as important as having a good time. The festival’s visual identity is inspired by the Labin dialect, preserving local heritage in a special way.
