ISTRIA300 passes through Labin: here is where special traffic regulations will be in effect this Saturday

On Saturday, October 3rd, the sixth edition of the international recreational cycling marathon ISTRIA300 will take place on Istrian roads.

Special traffic regulations will be in effect on the roads used by cyclists during the race. At certain locations monitored by the Ministry of the Interior and the Organizer’s security service, crossing the roads will be possible, as shown on the map. At these locations, cyclists have the right of way, and short delays may occur until the crossing is cleared.

The route passing through Labin is as follows:

Cyclists arrive from the direction of Ravni – Sv. Marina – Donji Kranjci, turn left towards Salakovci, then join the county road through Kapelica and continue towards the roundabout with the D66 state road and via Pulska Street (near the gas plant) towards the Elektroistra roundabout. Furthermore, along the state road towards the INA petrol station, where just before the station they turn onto Marcilnica and head towards the roundabout at the public utility company 1. MAJ d.o.o. in Vinež, continuing their journey towards Santalezi in the Municipality of Sv. Nedelja.

It is important to emphasize that movement and traffic will be allowed on the sections through which the race passes, but exclusively in the direction of the race.

Thus, through Kranjci, Salakovci, Kapelica, Pulska Street, and Marcilnica, movement will be possible in the direction the cyclists are moving. Between Elektroistra and the INA petrol station, traffic will be allowed in both directions with alternating vehicle flow.

Regardless of the aforementioned regulations, drivers coming from the direction of Rijeka towards Pula and vice versa are recommended to use Istarska and Zelenice streets as a detour. (Additional signage will be placed on these sections)

The mentioned route and special traffic regulation in Labin on Saturday will be in effect from 10:00 to 13:30.

Regardless of the temporary traffic regulation in effect that day, emergency services and all vehicles aimed at ensuring the safety and health of residents will be allowed to pass with increased security measures.
